“Proactive Career Development” … Ulsan Office of Education Expands Career Experience Programs to Prepare for the 4th Industrial Revolution Ulsan Office of Education.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education is actively discovering new career experience sites related to the 4th Industrial Revolution and operating customized career experience programs.

The career experience programs include regionally specialized career experiences, university-linked department career experience programs, and regionally connected future job (startup) programs, allowing students to understand and explore various career fields, design their career paths, and develop career competencies.

Programs based on regionally specialized industries related to automobiles, petrochemicals, life bio, architectural design, etc., such as future automobiles, hydrogen fuel cell chemistry, future architecture, life bio, ICT robotics, and 3D printing, are being operated, and related programs are conducted in collaboration with Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology.

The Ulsan Office of Education plans to operate entrepreneurship experience programs related to new industry fields using regionally connected startup infrastructure to enable students to pioneer their own careers.

They are also actively supporting the strengthening of students' career development capabilities by discovering new career experience sites and career mentors related to the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Last November, the Office of Education conducted training for career experience support center staff from five districts and career teachers by visiting the Pangyo Startup Campus in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, to discover career experience sites for 4th Industrial Revolution job groups.

An official from the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education said, “We will spare no effort to support students in developing self-directed career development capabilities amid the rapid changes brought by the 4th Industrial Revolution by developing various career experience sites and programs.”
