E&Cooper "Daeyang Enbio Obtains Patent for Technology Improving Sedimentation Performance of Wastewater Pollutants"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] E&C Corporation announced on the 24th that its subsidiary, Daeyang Enbio, a comprehensive water treatment O&M (operation and maintenance) specialist company, is conducting research and is in the final verification stage on significantly improving the sedimentation performance of pollutants in sewage and wastewater treatment plants by utilizing the physical properties of magnetic materials.

This research focuses on hydrocyclone technology that enhances sedimentation efficiency in secondary sedimentation tanks by adding a sedimentation efficiency improvement aid with fine magnetic particles and safely recovering the injected fine particle aid. Through this, it aims to resolve issues such as poor sludge sedimentation and surface flotation caused by decreased water temperature in winter, improve sludge sedimentation, stabilize water quality, and increase operational rates.

Daeyang Enbio has completed patent registration for this technology (Patent No. 10-215860, Magclone) and has been conducting demonstration tests at two municipal treatment facilities since July last year. According to the interim evaluation results, sedimentation efficiency improved by more than 30%, along with increased operational rates and improved water quality management and operational conditions, exceeding the initial goals. The company plans to proceed with full-scale commercialization.

Meanwhile, Daeyang Enbio has specialized in operating over 200 domestic and international sewage treatment plants and incineration facilities for more than 30 years and holds a total of 21 water treatment patents, including this technology. Through this, it has achieved the No. 1 position in comprehensive commissioning domestically and ranks among the top in sewage O&M performance in Korea. End.
