Publisher Yeouido Bookstore announced the release of "The Wolf of Wall Street," a wealthy man's life scenario written directly by Jordan Belfort, the Wall Street stock genius who became a self-made millionaire in his 20s with just his skills.

According to Yeouido Bookstore, this book is the only novel among Amazon's bestsellers on stock investment and is the original work of the movie of the same name, "The Wolf of Wall Street," in which Leonardo DiCaprio passionately portrayed the stock genius of Wall Street.

While the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street" mainly featured provocative and sensational scenes that attracted attention, this book reveals the intense struggles and anguish of a man striving for wealth and success, as well as the materialistic desires that permeate Wall Street, through the vivid voice of the author Jordan Belfort.

The book begins when Belfort, the protagonist of the novel and a real person, decided to write his story as a book while serving time in prison for securities fraud and money laundering charges.

The reason the Wolf wrote this reflection, knowing how to become rich but not how to live as a rich man, was likely not because he thought his story would become a global bestseller, but because he realized that human desires for wealth and success are not so different.

Yeouido Bookstore explained that this book will inspire readers who are dreaming of "all-in" successful investments and the FIRE movement, feeling despair that they cannot become rich despite a lifetime of hard work, especially in a world economy facing another crisis due to the pandemic, by helping them unfold their own unique "scenarios of wealth and life" beyond numerous economic forecasts and financial books.

Additionally, this book has attracted attention as it was recommended by the economic and financial YouTuber Shinsaimdang.

YouTuber Shinsaimdang stated, "In times of chaos, stories of extraordinary individuals shine," and added, "Belfort's life is not the answer, but this story will help each person find their own answers in life," explaining the reason for the recommendation.

Meanwhile, according to a representative of Yeouido Bookstore, the book was translated by Jang Ji-woong, CEO of the media commerce company Mirae Yongyeok, who brought expertise as an M&A specialist and understanding of the domestic financial market, capturing the author's unique humor and detailed situational descriptions. Furthermore, the book vividly depicts the author's thoughts and Wall Street life that the movie could not fully convey, allowing readers who have already seen the film to reflect on the meaning of the author and the work.

"The Wolf of Wall Street" is available at offline and online bookstores.
