Incheon Yeonan Pier and Soraepogu Fish Markets to Distribute Up to 20,000 Won Gift Certificates for Lunar New Year Holiday Fish Market

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] To celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday, from the 24th to the 30th, at two locations?the Incheon General Fish Market at Yeonan Pier in Jung-gu, Incheon, and the Soraepogu Traditional Fish Market in Namdong-gu?customers will receive Onnuri gift certificates amounting to 30% of their same-day seafood purchase, up to a limit of 20,000 KRW per person.


This event is part of the '2022 Korea Seafood Festival' promoted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and Incheon City, aimed at boosting seafood consumption and revitalizing traditional seafood markets that have been struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.


Consumers visiting the Yeonan Pier Incheon General Fish Market and Soraepogu Traditional Fish Market can receive Onnuri gift certificates based on their same-day purchase amount as follows: 20,000 KRW for purchases of 68,000 KRW or more; 15,000 KRW for purchases between 51,000 KRW and less than 68,000 KRW; 10,000 KRW for purchases between 34,000 KRW and less than 51,000 KRW; and 5,000 KRW for purchases between 17,000 KRW and less than 34,000 KRW.


However, this event is limited to participating stores within each market, and excludes processed foods including salted seafood, general restaurants, online gift certificate discount items, and government stockpile release items.


The total amount of gift certificates to be distributed is 100 million KRW (50 million KRW per market), given on a first-come, first-served basis, and the event will end once all certificates are exhausted.
