Jeonju City Operates Cleaning Countermeasures Situation Room During Lunar New Year Holiday

Operation of Cleaning Situation Room and Mobile Response Team, and Promotion of Adjustments to Household Waste Disposal Days

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonju City announced on the 21st that it will operate a cleaning countermeasures situation room from the 29th to February 2nd to prevent any gaps in cleaning services during the Lunar New Year holiday period.

Jeonju City plans to designate the period from the 24th to the 28th as the Lunar New Year cleanliness week and conduct major cleaning focused on vulnerable cleaning areas in each district.

In addition, to resolve cleaning complaints arising during the holiday period, the city will operate a cleaning situation room and also activate a mobile response team to promptly handle household waste complaints.

In particular, ten key management areas with high foot traffic and visitors, such as Hanok Village, Seobu New Town, Movie Street, and the Terminal, will be designated for focused management, including street cleaning during the holiday period.

Since garbage collection services will be temporarily suspended on the 30th and February 1st to 2nd, the city plans to promote the garbage collection schedule in advance using apartment management offices and the Jeonju City website.

Furthermore, after the holiday, Jeonju City plans to mobilize all personnel and equipment to collectively collect and dispose of the accumulated household waste during the holiday period.
