Korea Airport Services Appoints Kim Jun-myung as CEO... "Committed to Growth Momentum for a Second Leap" Junmyung Kim, President and CEO of Korea Air Service

[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI)'s subsidiary, Korea Aerospace Maintenance & Engineering Services (KAEMS), announced on the 21st that it has appointed Kim Jun-myung as the new CEO through an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and a board meeting.

Mr. Kim is the second CEO appointed since the establishment of KAEMS, with a term of three years until January 2025.

Born in 1966, Mr. Kim graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Business Administration in 1989 and began his career in 1988 at Samsung Aerospace. He has served as KAI's Head of Communications and Operations Group Leader, recognized as an expert in aerospace management and policy, and participated in the planning stages for the establishment of KAEMS.

Mr. Kim emphasized growth momentum for KAEMS's second leap forward, prioritizing maximizing shareholder value and customer satisfaction as top management goals.

In his inaugural speech held at the headquarters in Sacheon, Gyeongnam, Mr. Kim stated, "The current situation, with the global aviation industry restructuring due to the COVID-19 pandemic and increased lead times from overseas MRO companies, can be an optimal time for growth rather than a crisis."

He then presented three management keywords, saying, "To strengthen KAEMS's global competitiveness, we will expand domestic and international new orders, advance the management system, and foster a vibrant corporate culture."
