The meeting was organized to listen to the hopes and difficulties of youth enterprise representatives and to discuss what kind of support is needed. Five youth enterprise representatives, Chairman Park Jong-ho, Vice Chairman Kim Mi-ae, and committee members Park Jae-won, Lee Hyun-jae, and Lee Bok-nam focused on discussing ▲ ways to improve the quality of startup education ▲ methods to enter local community human networks ▲ issues such as rising commercial rent due to the revitalization of underdeveloped areas.
To improve the quality of startup education, a plan was proposed to select educators with extensive startup experience who can provide practical help to entrepreneurs and prospective entrepreneurs. Regarding entry into local community human networks, the expansion of the 'Mentor-Mentee Project,' currently for job seekers, to include entrepreneurs was discussed.
Regarding concerns of young entrepreneurs about rising commercial rents due to the revitalization of underdeveloped areas, it was responded that preparations are underway to allow landlords and entrepreneurs within the startup special zone to contract fixed monthly rent for a certain period.
Chairman Park Jong-ho said, "We will conduct legal reviews and discuss with the executive branch the feasible parts so that the opinions from this meeting can be included in the ordinance and will definitely provide feedback." He added, "For parts that cannot be included in the ordinance, we will have in-depth discussions with the executive branch on how to develop and operate them as policies."
He also stated, "I hope that one idea will be successfully developed, leading to the creation of quality jobs and a culture where companies continue to grow in Suncheon," and added, "Continuous discussions for the enactment of the ordinance on youth job support will be more important going forward."
