[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] The Korea International Trade Association and LS Electric announced on the 20th that they will jointly envision the future of energy new industries and manufacturing automation technologies and seek innovative startups to accelerate digital transformation.
In this startup open innovation, which LS Electric is attempting for the first time on a company-wide scale, they plan to discover outstanding startups in fields such as new technologies related to energy electrification, smart factory innovation models, and digital transformation solutions.
Startups selected as final collaboration targets through document screening, meetups, and demo days will be given opportunities such as proof of concept (PoC) using LS Electric's infrastructure, participation in joint projects, and equity investment. Startups wishing to participate in the project can apply through the open innovation platform InnovBranch by the 13th of next month.
Park Seon-kyung, Head of Startup Growth Support at the Trade Association, said, "In the era of pandemic, climate change, and digital transformation, we will partner with LS Electric, a leading domestic smart energy solutions company, to discover startups that will expand globally and actively support their scale-up."
