[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Comprehensive food company Ourhome announced on the 20th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Guri City to promote and develop the FoodTech industry.


The signing ceremony took place on the 19th at Guri City Hall, attended by Ourhome Vice Chairman Gu Ji-eun, Ourhome President Kim Tae-jun, Guri Mayor Ahn Seung-nam, Guri Urban Corporation President Kim Jae-nam, and other officials from both organizations.


FoodTech is a 4th industrial revolution technology that combines Food and Technology, expected to lead the food and dining industries in the future.


Through this agreement, Ourhome and Guri City agreed to jointly strive for the successful establishment of the FoodTech Valley, a key project promoted by Guri City, and the development of the domestic FoodTech industry. The two organizations plan to cooperate in ▲ active exchange of technology, information, and resources related to the establishment of FoodTech Valley ▲ support for attracting resident companies such as FoodTech-based startups and partnership consulting ▲ sharing information on new technologies and global trends in the FoodTech field.


Ourhome Vice Chairman Gu Ji-eun said, “The FoodTech Valley has excellent location conditions and Guri City’s strong commitment, so we expect it to be born as an innovative agro-food industrial complex,” adding, “Based on Ourhome’s industry-leading human and technological know-how, we will actively support the development of resident companies such as FoodTech-based startups and the realization of innovative food industry ideas.”
