[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Korea McDonald's announced that as the next menu item in the ‘Taste of Korea’ project, which utilizes high-quality domestic ingredients, it will offer a unique side menu called ‘Honey Butter Injeolmi Fries’ made with 100% domestic five-grain powder and honey butter, available for a limited time from the 20th of this month until the 9th of next month.
Honey Butter Injeolmi Fries is a new menu where the nutty flavor of 100% domestic five-grain powder and the rich sweet and salty taste of honey butter harmoniously blend, allowing customers to experience a distinctive side dish. It uses five grains (soybean powder, red bean, black rice, brown rice, barley) produced by local farms in Korea and was developed to suit the tastes of domestic customers. McDonald's explained that it maintains the unique texture of French fries, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and expects it to receive great response from ‘Gamtu’i (fried potato) enthusiasts.
The way to eat it is to put the French fries and the seasoning powder containing five grains and honey butter into the cute shaker bag provided when purchasing Honey Butter Injeolmi Fries, then shake well to mix.
It is available at all McDonald's stores nationwide for 1,500 KRW for small size, 2,200 KRW for medium size, and 2,800 KRW for large size. When purchasing a burger set, you can add 500 KRW to change to Honey Butter Injeolmi Fries.
