[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Professor Seo Min of Dankook University said that Kim Gun-hee, the spouse of Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, gave 1.05 million won to Lee Myung-su, a reporter from the YouTube-based media outlet 'Seoul's Voice,' under the pretext of lecture fees, calling her "a scatterbrain who empties her wallet for someone who approached her to fish for her."

On the 19th, Professor Seo uploaded a video titled "Why did Kim Gun-hee give 1.05 million won?" on his YouTube channel 'Straw Post,' claiming that the so-called 'Kim Gun-hee recording' revealed the humanity of the Yoon couple, which positively influenced Yoon's approval ratings.

Professor Seo continued, "Interestingly, when this scatterbrained side is broadcast, Kim Gun-hee's popularity soars. Terms like 'Gun-Cola,' 'Gun-Crush,' and 'Gun-hee hyung' emerge, and even phrases like 'Make Kim Gun-hee President' are circulating. Then is Yoon Seok-yeol the 'First Gentleman' instead of the First Lady? Anyway, such posts flood the internet," adding, "The number of Kim Gun-hee fan club members increased 36-fold, and Yoon's approval ratings also rose."

He said, "Despite using a rough, masculine tone and making only negative remarks like calling her a leftist vanguard, why do people respond explosively?" He added, "Although it wasn't broadcast, in the recordings, Kim Gun-hee said to Yoon, 'Is he good-looking? Is he strong? He has a protruding belly, snores, eats a lot, farts around. Would you live with someone like that?' and 'Even if he's dumb, he listens well, so I live with him.' I've heard similar words from my own wife."

He continued, "What many viewers, including myself, felt while watching MBC's 'Straight' broadcast was exactly this: these people eat the same food as me, think similarly, and live with the same bickering as me. We felt their humanity."

On the other hand, regarding Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, Professor Seo said, "What the Democratic Party and Lee Jae-myung lack is exactly this kind of humanity," criticizing, "Look at what Lee's spouse, Kim Hye-kyung, says. She finds her husband's snoring adorable and says they kiss every morning. If a couple married for 30 years is at this level, it's one of two things: mental illness or a lie."

Professor Seo said, "This candidate couple is lying about their own lives. They removed humanity to gain votes. But when you do this, something else is removed as well: the truth," adding, "In fact, the president with the strongest humanity was President Roh Moo-hyun. Numerous photos and videos attest to this. Even those politically opposed to him acknowledged Roh's simplicity and sincerity. The large crowds visiting Bongha Village after his retirement were precisely because of this humanity."

He went on, "Politicians can craft their image as they wish if they just stage their appearances well in mass media. Even politicians who don't wash at home can become polished and neat images if only photos taken with clean clothes and lighting are repeatedly released in mass media," and said, "If a politician yawns at an accident site and sheds tears, but only the photo of the tears is cut out and spread, they become a politician grieving the people's pain."
