Dalseo-gu and Nam-gu Urban Areas Congestion Relief in Busy Sections
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] An additional entrance will be installed on the north side of Seobu Jeongryujang Station on Daegu Metro Line 1.
According to Daegu City on the 19th, two entrances will be added north of Seongdang Intersection to improve citizen access and convenience, with completion scheduled for 2024.
The entrance construction at Seobu Jeongryujang Station will begin in mid-March this year, with a total project cost of 25.8 billion KRW.
Each of the two new entrances will be equipped with one elevator and one escalator, and one of the existing three entrances will also have an additional elevator and escalator installed.
Once the entrance construction is completed, approximately 36,000 citizens from Seongdang-dong and Songhyeon-dong in Dalseo-gu and Daemyeong-dong in Nam-gu will be able to use the metro.
Kim Hyung-il, head of Daegu City Metro Construction Headquarters, stated, “Since the construction is taking place in a congested downtown area, we will do our best to manage the site and prevent safety accidents to avoid any traffic inconvenience.”
