Preview of 1st Grade Life... Busan Education Live Talk 'School Life Tips' Galore On the 19th, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education conducted "Busan Education Live Talk Talk, We Are First Graders - Elementary Edition" on YouTube.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] On the 19th, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education held a session titled "Busan Education Live Talk Talk, We Are First Graders - Elementary" with parents of prospective first-grade elementary students in a first-grade classroom at Seokpo Elementary School in Nam-gu, Busan.

The event was organized to address the questions of prospective parents by providing information about a first grader's daily school life, curriculum, classes, after-school programs, care classrooms, and useful school life tips.

Superintendent Kim Seok-jun and teacher Ok Dong-jin from Gwangil Elementary School led the event, with participation from teachers Gu Hye-min of Gupyeong Elementary School, Choi Seon-gyeong of Bansan Elementary School, and Gong Eun-young, a supervisor from the Early Childhood and Elementary Education Division of the city education office, who answered parents' questions.

Parents asked questions such as whether children's behavior or personality changes when moving from kindergarten to elementary school, how the elementary curriculum differs from kindergarten, how first-grade classes are conducted, and how after-school and care classrooms operate.

There were also concerns about whether children could safely attend school during the COVID-19 situation and whether they would be able to manage remote classes if implemented.

Parents inquired about which books are good for elementary students and whether there are programs in place to ensure a safe and happy school life.

The Live Talk Talk was broadcast live on the city education office's YouTube channel, and the next episode, "We Are First Graders - Middle School," is scheduled to air in February.

Superintendent Kim Seok-jun stated, "We will continue to create opportunities to think together about the concerns and questions parents have regarding their children's education."
