The nonprofit organization Byeoldongbyeol Star Donation signed a business agreement on the 15th at the World K-POP Center located in Namsan with Jung-gu, Seoul Metropolitan City, to contribute to social responsibility through the donation of sponsored goods and volunteer activities.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from Byeoldongbyeol Star Donation (Chairman Park Seongjin), Jung-gu, Seoul Metropolitan City (District Mayor Seo Yangho), and other related officials.
Both Byeoldongbyeol Star Donation and Jung-gu confirmed their friendly cooperative relationship and, based on mutual trust, expressed their commitment to contributing to social responsibility activities through this agreement. The two organizations agreed to promote support projects for the stabilization of living conditions and welfare improvement for vulnerable groups by linking Byeoldongbyeol’s welfare projects with Jung-gu’s Dream Hearty projects, as well as to discuss and promote various volunteer activities and cooperative projects with related organizations and institutions.
Byeoldongbyeol Star Donation was launched in 2008, starting with volunteer activities for the Taean Peninsula oil spill incident, aiming to spread voluntary social service and donation culture among popular culture stars. Currently, about 450 popular culture artists share this vision. In December last year, Byeoldongbyeol Star Donation was officially promoted to a nonprofit corporation under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Seoul Metropolitan City Autonomous Administration Division. The promotion ceremony was held at Namsan Hill Square in Jung-gu, Seoul, with the “Byeoldongbyeol Star Donation Christmas Charity Concert.” A donation ceremony for daily necessities to overcome COVID-19 was also held alongside the agreement ceremony.
Meanwhile, Byeoldongbyeol Star Donation plans to launch a social contribution specialty shopping mall called “Thanks Giving.” The Thanks Giving cosmetics set is about to open, and the “Donation Silver Bracelet” produced through a collaboration with the fine jewelry company Jembros Co., Ltd. as part of the “Silver Bracelet Project” will soon be available for sale. A portion of the proceeds from all products sold through the Thanks Giving shopping mall will be donated to socially vulnerable groups.
