SRT operator SR announced on the 18th that it will collaborate with LG Uplus to introduce SRT train travel VR content on the extended reality (XR) content platform ‘Uplus DIVE (U+DIVE)’.
The newly released ‘SRT VR Travel Content’ is an immersive content created as a VR video showing the train running at speeds up to 300 km/h from the perspective of the SRT train conductor. It consists of five 5-minute videos capturing high-speed SRT train footage on the sections △Dongtan-Gongju △Gongju-Iksan △Iksan-Gwangju Songjeong △Gwangju Songjeong-Naju △Naju-Mokpo.
The SRT VR Travel Content allows viewers to comfortably feel the speed without any shaking up, down, left, or right, even at the fast speed of up to 300 km/h. In particular, users can enjoy situations that can only be experienced in the high-speed train driver’s cabin through the VR video, such as trains on the opposite track passing by at high speed, entering and exiting tunnels, sudden darkness followed by instant light, and more.
SR plans to continue collaborating with LG Uplus to introduce various SRT VR travel contents, including regional videos showcasing beautiful landscapes, seasonal videos, and high-speed driving videos from the passenger seat perspective. Anyone can download the ‘Uplus DIVE’ app for free from One Store, Google Play Store, and Apple App Store regardless of their telecom provider.
