[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] FriendsGames, a blockchain service and casual mobile game company, announced on the 18th that it has appointed Woo Sang-jun as the new co-CEO. FriendsGames will be operated under the leadership of the new co-CEO Woo and CEO Song Gye-han.
New co-CEO Woo previously served as head of NHN Web Board and Sports Game Division, executive director at NHN Entertainment, CEO of NHN Blackpick, CEO of Anipang Plus, and CEO of Nabu Studio. He joined FriendsGames last month through the merger of FriendsGames and Nabu Studio.
FriendsGames plans to accelerate the strengthening of its blockchain and non-fungible token (NFT) business. Former co-CEO Jung Wook will remain as an internal director at FriendsGames to continue supporting the company’s business.
New CEO Woo said, "We will quickly introduce diverse services to the market by combining various concepts, including the recently popular 'Play&Earn' (meaning playing games and earning money)."
