Simplifying Hospital Processes from Appointment Booking to Registration and Payment

Konnec Signs Multilateral MOU for AI and Metaverse-Based Medical System Development

Fintech company Kanak announced on the 18th that it signed a multilateral MOU on the 17th to develop an AI- and metaverse-based medical system in collaboration with YapX, Bitnine, GS Payment, and Lin Ventures.

According to the MOU, the participating companies will combine essential technologies of the 4th industrial revolution era, such as artificial intelligence (AI), metaverse, IoT (Internet of Things), graph databases, and fintech, to develop diverse and advanced medical systems. The goal of developing the medical system is to provide medical services through a metaverse environment that users can experience anytime and anywhere, simplify hospital processes, and thereby universalize and activate existing medical systems.

Once the system is developed, users are expected to see significant improvements in inconveniences and waiting times, lower the barriers to hospitals that were previously difficult to approach through communication and information sharing with other users, and increase visit rates. Additionally, by analyzing and processing the vast big data generated through the integration of various technologies, the system will provide healthcare services and customized information to users, greatly enhancing user satisfaction.

This project is being promoted mainly around AI and metaverse technologies jointly developed by Kanak and GS Payment, with YapX providing its proprietary IoT, RFID, NFC, and beacon technologies. Bitnine will provide a graph DB solution capable of data-based information analysis and prediction, and Lin Ventures (VC), which actively invests in AI and future new business sectors, will join the investment side to promote system activation and ecosystem formation.

Lee Won-il, CEO of Kanak, said, “We have the opportunity to carry out the project with companies that have technological capabilities,” and expressed expectations that “through a more advanced medical system, users will conveniently receive the information and services they want, existing hospital process inconveniences will be resolved, competitiveness will be secured, and customer trust will increase.”
