[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] YouTuber Song Jia (stage name Freezia, 25) has caused controversy after it was revealed that she used counterfeit products of luxury brands, drawing renewed attention to her past remarks about luxury fashion.

On December 31 last year, Song Jia uploaded a video titled "2022 Bucket List" on her YouTube channel.

The video was conducted in a format where Song Jia answered questions from her YouTube subscribers. At one point, a netizen suggested to Song Jia, "Since your clothes are mostly flashy and luxury, it might be fun to try content like styling from head to toe with inexpensive or mass-produced clothes, for example, with 100,000 won."

In response, Song Jia said, "It's just that the clothes are all flashy, but I don't only wear luxury brands," adding, "I actually have a lot of mass-produced clothes, but people who don't know me well seem to misunderstand a bit."

She continued, "People seem to misunderstand that Freezia only wears luxury brands, but that's not true. I really have a lot of mass-produced clothes, and I have more mass-produced clothes than luxury ones."

Regarding the suggestion to style with 100,000 won, Song Jia replied, "Styling from head to toe with 100,000 won is actually difficult. How about I try with 200,000 won?"

Song Jia said, "There is currently controversy regarding some of the clothes I wore on SNS and 'Solo Hell.' The pointed counterfeit controversy is partly true," and added, "I am truly sorry."
