Nongshim Launches 'Oksusukkang Havana Corn Flavor'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Nongshim announced on the 18th that it has launched a new snack product, ‘Oksusukkang Havana Corn Flavor’.

Havana corn is a dish where corn is sprinkled with butter, cheese, and paprika seasoning, characterized by its sweet and savory taste. ‘Oksusukkang Havana Corn Flavor’ is a product that adds a spicy yet savory sweetness to whole corn kernels. The round corn kernel shape provides visual enjoyment as well as a popping texture in the mouth.

Nongshim’s Oksusukkang was introduced in 2020, riding the wave of the ‘Kkang craze.’ It attracted attention from the start as a new Kkang snack launched 47 years after the release of Goguma-kkang in 1973. Oksusukkang achieved sales of 10 billion KRW within about a year of its launch.
