Dongwon F&B Launches 'Yangban Insaengmatjip Dumplings' with Thinner Wrappers and Fully Packed Filling

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Dongwon F&B announced on the 18th that it has launched two types of "Yangban Insaeng Matjip Mandu," frozen dumplings with the ratio of dumpling wrappers reduced to 17% of the total dumpling.

The two types of "Yangban Insaeng Matjip Mandu" are frozen dumpling products developed by exploring dumpling specialty restaurants and creating the golden ratio of dumpling wrappers at 17%. The dumpling wrappers are thin yet not easily torn, giving a chewy texture, and the dumplings are filled generously with stuffing to enhance the flavor.

The two types of "Yangban Insaeng Matjip Mandu" include various ingredients such as domestic pork, cabbage, onion, green onion, zucchini, and jujube, all chopped finely. The dumpling wrapper seams (wings), which can become hard and taste floury after cooking, have been minimized to preserve a clean taste. The dumpling wrappers themselves are made by blending flour and starch in an optimal ratio.

"Yangban Insaeng Matjip Mandu" consists of two varieties: meat dumplings and kimchi dumplings. They can be cooked in various ways, including steaming, pan-frying, dumpling soup, and dumpling hot pot. Additionally, because the wrappers are thin, even when cooked in an air fryer, the dumplings do not harden and remain moist inside, allowing for a delicious experience.
