YapX Signs Multilateral MOU for Developing Metaverse and AI Medical Solutions

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] YapX, a KOSDAQ-listed company, announced on the 18th that it has formed a cooperative system among five companies including Connect, Bitnine, GS Payment, and Lin Ventures for the purpose of developing metaverse medical solutions, and signed a multilateral strategic business agreement (MOU).

YapX and the participating companies in this MOU plan to focus their respective technologies and capital to develop a smart hospital information system based on core 4th industrial revolution technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), metaverse, Internet of Things (IoT), fintech, and graph databases.

The smart hospital information system developed by the five companies including YapX aims to provide users with pre-medical information about hospitals through a metaverse environment and simplify hospital visit procedures into a digital system, thereby making the existing medical system more universal.

Once the system development is completed, patients will be able to visit medical institutions in the metaverse space before their hospital visit and obtain necessary information. All hospital procedures from appointment booking to reception and payment will be simplified, significantly improving inconveniences such as separate waiting times for treatment in the existing hospital visit process.

Within the scope of institutional regulations, a comprehensive remote medical care system will also be established. The company expects that this solution will serve as a means to expand communication touchpoints between users wishing to visit hospitals and medical institutions within the metaverse space, lowering the somewhat difficult threshold to hospitals and increasing visit rates.

This project will be promoted mainly around the AI and metaverse service solutions jointly developed by Connect and GS Payment. YapX will provide its own IoT, RFID, NFC, and beacon technologies.

Data-based information analysis and prediction solutions will use Bitnine’s ‘Agens Graph,’ and the investment sector will be handled by Lin Ventures (VC), which is actively investing in AI and future new business areas.

Choi Simyeong, CEO of YapX, said, “The ‘Smart Hospital Information System’ will realize the space and environment of medical institutions in the metaverse, enabling users to make reservations, receive remote medical care, and make payments through hospital access,” adding, “We expect that a solution that can greatly relieve the fatigue of existing hospital processes will be born.”
