On the 18th, they plan to reintroduce the flagship product ‘Daesun’ to the market with revamped ingredients, alcohol content, and label design.
Daesun Brewery stated that the ‘Renewed Daesun’ was born after three years of research under the slogan ‘Unchanging Change,’ maintaining the dignified and deep taste that the original ‘Daesun’ was proud of, while adding smoothness and freshness.
The ‘Renewed Daesun’ contains no fructose, salt, or amino acids, eliminating bitterness and greasiness, and has reduced calories to the lowest level among domestic products on the market at 90 kcal/100 ml.
They revealed that one bottle of ‘Renewed Daesun’ contains no sodium, carbohydrates, sugars, fats, trans fats, saturated fats, cholesterol, or protein.
Daesun Brewery introduced that they used tomatine, a premium plant-based ingredient, as a sweetener and applied their unique Healing Stone far-infrared technology.
Reflecting consumers’ preference for lower alcohol content products due to the spread of home drinking culture caused by COVID-19, the alcohol content was slightly lowered from the previous 16.9 degrees to 16.5 degrees.
The label retains the existing representative wave design but transformed the blue wave into a whale to signify change.
The product name uses a sensuous font developed in-house so consumers can recognize the changes in Daesun at a glance, and the label is produced in two versions written horizontally and vertically for distribution.
Daesun Brewery aims to win triple crowns this year at the world’s top three liquor competitions: IWSC, Monde Selection, and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, with the ‘Renewed Daesun’ born from accumulated technology and dedication.
Marking its 92nd anniversary this year and moving toward becoming a centennial company, Daesun Brewery plans to revitalize the liquor market, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19, and elevate its status as a leading liquor company in the southeastern region with the launch of the Renewed Daesun.
A Daesun Brewery official said, “The new Daesun’s smoothness and clean taste are outstanding and will shake up the existing soju market.”
