[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Domestic cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has taken steps to improve transaction speed. An event related to the speed improvement will also be held.

On the 17th, Bithumb announced that it had carried out an update focused on improving the speed of its application (app). Through this service improvement, customers can use major exchange functions, including moving between the main and order screens, more than twice as fast.

With reduced waiting times on price inquiry and trading pages, customers who preferred short-term trading can now trade faster using the mobile app. Additionally, a ‘custom keypad’ will be added. By providing a unified custom keypad instead of different keypads depending on the devices used by existing customers, user convenience has been enhanced.

An event will also be held. Starting from the 18th, a two-round initial consonant quiz event with a total prize of 100 million KRW will begin. The theme of the initial consonant quiz is ‘Fast Bithumb.’ From February 3rd, the ‘Bithumb App Real Investment Competition,’ where participants can naturally experience the improved speed, will be held. Applications for the investment competition are accepted until the 7th, and the main competition will run for 10 to 16 days.

A video campaign will be conducted simultaneously online and offline. The offline video campaign can be seen at high foot traffic locations such as Gangnam Station, Samsung Station, nearby bus stops, and Gangnam-daero. The online campaign can be viewed through Bithumb’s official YouTube channel.
