[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Comprehensive paper company Kkaekkeutan Nara announced on the 17th that it received an A grade in the 'Safety and Health Symbiotic Cooperation Program' in recognition of its support and cooperation efforts related to safety and health with its partner companies.

The 'Safety and Health Symbiotic Cooperation Program' is a program led by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and implemented by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. Its purpose is for parent companies to support the safety and health activities of partner companies to improve safety and health levels and prevent industrial accidents in workplaces.

Kkaekkeutan Nara helped strengthen safety awareness by conducting 'Risk Assessment Certification Support,' 'Enhancement of Partner Companies' Safety Capabilities,' and 'Safety Culture Expansion Activities' targeting four partner companies centered on the Cheongju factory. It also supported improvements in working conditions through 'Work Environment Improvement Support,' 'Sanitary Facility Replacement Support,' and 'Heatwave and Heavy Snow Countermeasures and Support.'

The budget for the symbiotic cooperation project recorded 106% compared to the plan, and the project implementation rate for strengthening safety awareness achieved 100%. Support projects were carried out in four areas: technology, education, materials, and finance, and all four partner companies gave the highest satisfaction scores for the program.

A Kkaekkeutan Nara official said, "We believe that the growth of our partner companies is the growth of Kkaekkeutan Nara," adding, "In 2022, we will continue to focus on strengthening safety awareness and improving working conditions of partner companies for sustainable growth."
