Over 130 University Student Mentors and About 300 Prospective High School 1st and 2nd Year Students Participate
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 17th that it held the KB Raschool entrance ceremony, a social contribution project supporting youth education.
KB Raschool, meaning "a school that enjoys studying," is a social contribution project that started in January last year. Even amid the COVID-19 situation, it supports high school education by utilizing a remote education platform so that teenagers can study safely. It offers various programs to bridge the educational gap among youth, including online real-time lectures by famous instructors, one-on-one mentoring by outstanding university student mentors, and extracurricular lectures for emotional development.
The non-face-to-face entrance ceremony marking the new beginning of KB Raschool was attended by about 130 university student mentors and approximately 300 prospective first- and second-year high school students.
A KB Kookmin Bank official stated, "Following the will expressed by KB Financial Group Chairman Yoon Jong-kyu in his New Year's address to 'establish KB as a company that prioritizes and respects society, the environment, neighbors, and the people, and exerts a positive influence,' the bank will work together to support the challenges of youth pursuing their dreams."
