NHIS to Provide Annual Payment Details of Long-term Care Benefits from Today

[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The National Health Insurance Service (Director Kang Do-tae) will provide the 2021 annual payment details, including nursing care benefits, through the Service's website starting from the 17th to facilitate tax reporting for workplaces such as hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, health screening institutions, and long-term care institutions for the elderly.

The recipients include 98,572 nursing institutions that received payments for nursing care costs, medical benefits costs, health screening costs, etc., last year, and 38,074 long-term care institutions that received long-term care benefit payments.

Regarding the 'Workplace Status Report' for corporations or VAT-exempt businesses, the Service provides the '2021 annual payment details' aggregated by medical institution for corporate medical institutions and by representative for individual medical institutions.

Nursing institutions can log in with a corporate certificate on the Service's website Nursing Institution Information Plaza, Health Screening Institution Portal, and Long-term Care Insurance for the Elderly website to immediately view and print the 'Annual Payment Details Notification' required for tax reporting.

For institutions not registered as internet members on the Service's website and for closed or suspended institutions, the Service will send the documents by mail.

Meanwhile, nursing institutions that have lost or damaged their Annual Payment Details Notification and need reissuance can receive it immediately by reissuing online or visiting the nearest Service branch. However, to protect nursing institution information, applications for issuance via phone or fax are not accepted.
