[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jongno-gu is operating the ninth exhibition since the opening of the Jongno-gu Park Nosu Art Museum (34 Ogin 1-gil) titled "The Painter's Memorandum" until August this year.

The Park Nosu Art Museum is a space reborn as a public art museum in September 2013 after receiving a rich collection of artworks, including the house where the painter lived and worked for over 40 years during his lifetime, donated by his family.

Originally built around 1937 using an eclectic architectural style, the house became the painter's property in 1973 and was recognized for its cultural value, being registered as Seoul City Cultural Property No. 1 in 1991. This suggests that it is not only a place imbued with the personal memories of the painter but also holds significant value as cultural heritage.

This exhibition, "The Painter's Memorandum," draws attention through the meeting of painter Park Nosu, who dominated an era, and Jo Sunhee, a representative photographer in the fashion photography world.

Visitors can appreciate many works featuring Park Nosu's distinctive vivid yet clear colors, including his 1988 work "Mountain," as well as books, illustrations, and cover art. Additionally, works by photographer Jo Sunhee are also on display. She, admiring Park Nosu's pure artistic world, participated in this project by exploring the entire house imbued with the painter's artistic vision and capturing its traces within frames.

An online program for elementary school students titled "Making a Panorama Card Capturing the Painter's House" is also underway from the 11th of this month. The program is completely free of charge.

Those wishing to participate can apply directly on-site, by phone, or by sending a message via the Park Nosu Art Museum Instagram. Afterwards, participants receive activity sheets at the venue, watch related videos on the Jongno Cultural Foundation YouTube channel, and then take photos of their completed panorama cards to upload on social media.

A district official stated, "This special exhibition was prepared to commemorate the 8th anniversary of the Park Nosu Art Museum starting last fall," adding, "It is an excellent opportunity to appreciate the works of an artist who made a significant mark in the history of modern Korean art, so we highly recommend visiting at least once. We will continue to strive to ensure residents can enjoy a cultural life throughout the region."
