Beolgyo Elementary School Students Raise Donations for Neighbors Through 'Bazaar'

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] On the 14th, students and the Parent Association of Beolgyo Elementary School in Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that they donated 700,000 won from the bazaar proceeds as a contribution to help neighbors in need.
Beolgyo Elementary School (Principal Kim In-ok) held a 'bazaar' on November 5th last year, where students and the Parent Association sold household items that were no longer used at home to raise funds for helping neighbors in need.
At the donation ceremony, Principal Kim In-ok said, "It was a good opportunity to learn the spirit of sharing with neighbors in difficulty and living together."
Through the bazaar, which considered neighbors in need, students and parents had an experience of communication, and young students had a valuable opportunity to learn social skills and economic awareness.
Student Council President Kim Yuna expressed, "I feel good because I was able to earn money and help friends in need through the bazaar."
Seonnamgyu, Mayor of Beolgyo-eup, expressed gratitude, saying, "I appreciate the sincerity of the children and will use it carefully for neighbors in need."
