[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 14th that it has started accepting applications for the ‘Jinju-type Emergency Living Stabilization Fund’ to support the recovery of daily life for industries (occupations) left out of the government disaster relief fund coverage.
The Jinju-type Emergency Living Stabilization Fund project will provide 4.9 billion KRW purely from city funds to four sectors: ▲government loss compensation blind spots ▲secondary damage industries ▲special-type workers and freelancers ▲Gyeongnam Office of Education disaster relief fund blind spots.
Travel and amusement facility businesses that suffered long-term damage due to the escalation of the social distancing administrative order to level 3 in July last year to curb the spread of COVID-19 but did not receive government support will receive 1 million KRW per business.
This support targets sectors that suffered significant damage from COVID-19 but received little government and city support, causing relative deprivation; taxi and charter bus drivers, who were not included in the government’s quarantine support fund recipients, will receive 1 million KRW per person.
The application period is until the 26th. Eligible applicants can apply by visiting the Jinju City Hall Culture and Arts Division in person or by mail or email.
A Jinju City official said, “Since the application period, eligibility, and conditions vary by department for this Jinju-type Emergency Living Stabilization Fund, please be sure to check the announcement and receive the living stabilization fund before the Lunar New Year holiday to help with daily life recovery.”
