[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] A public official at a district office in Daegu was accused of having an affair with a new female employee while his wife was pregnant, according to a post on the internal information network.
B, who identified herself as the wife of a public official at A District Office, posted a revealing message on the internal information network of A District Office on the 12th, stating, "My husband had an affair with a female junior colleague."
According to the post, B claimed, "Even though I am currently nine months pregnant, my husband had an affair with a new female employee," and added, "My husband commuted to and from work with the female employee who joined last year, and they enjoyed dates during weekend overtime."
She said she discovered her husband's affair by checking the black box footage. She added, "After the affair was revealed, my husband begged for forgiveness and I gave him another chance, but he continued the affair more thoroughly with the female junior colleague," and "Although he said he would stop contacting her, they were dating during his commute and lunch breaks."
B said, "Later, I demanded that my husband apply for a leave of absence to separate him from the mistress, but even after a two-month leave, my husband resumed the affair with the female junior colleague," and "On the early morning of the 11th, I saw emails exchanged between my husband and the mistress and wrote the expos?."
She also stated, "Knowing about their affair, I tried to report them. I informed the mistress's parents about the affair and also notified my in-laws."
According to B, the mistress's parents said, "Our daughter, who recently joined and was in her probation period, cannot be fired from the difficult-to-get public official position," and "We will manage our daughter well to ensure they do not contact each other again and will strictly separate them," asking for forgiveness.
The female employee who had an affair with B's husband joined in January last year and has now completed her six-month probation period.
Currently, A District Office is verifying the exact facts regarding B's husband and the female employee and plans to decide the level of disciplinary action after confirming the facts.
An official from A District Office said, "We are investigating the facts regarding defamation of dignity and absence from the workplace involving these individuals," and "After confirming the exact circumstances, we plan to suspend them from their positions and impose disciplinary measures."
