Changwon City Signs Business Agreement with Smart Market Service and Small Business Associations
Changwon City, Smart Market Service, and Changwon small business organizations signed a business agreement for the 'Changwon-style Public Delivery App'.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The delivery app led by Changwon City will be launched as a service in the first half of this year. This application is a public project in which local governments intervene in the delivery market to reduce the commission burden on small business owners.
On the 10th, Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, signed a business agreement for the operation of the ‘Changwon-type Public Delivery App’ with Smart Market Service, the Changwon Small Business Association, and five district branches of the Korea Food Service Industry Association in Changwon City to reduce the delivery app brokerage fees for small business owners.
The public delivery app reduces brokerage fees, including entry fees and advertising fees, to below 2%, thereby lowering the commission burden on small business owners within the city.
It also plans to continue the virtuous cycle of good consumption by incorporating the payment function of Nubijeon, the mobile Changwon Love Gift Certificate.
The company building and operating the delivery app is Smart Market Service, which was finally selected as the priority negotiator by the Changwon-type Public Delivery App private business operator selection committee composed of experts in December last year.
The selected operator plans to provide services throughout Changwon City in the first half of the year through merchant recruitment and intensive promotion.
Small business organizations also participated in the launch of the public delivery app and plan to support initial merchant recruitment as much as possible by promoting and encouraging membership and small business owners to join.
Mayor Heo Seong-moo said, “We will work hard with Smart Market Service and small business organizations to ensure that this can be a practical support for small business owners in Changwon City and to continue the virtuous cycle of good consumption.”
