[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Trans Beverage, an importer and distributor of alcoholic beverages, announced on the 10th that it will release a limited edition of only 29 bottles of the Scottish single malt whisky 'Glen Grant 60 Years,' of which only 360 bottles were produced worldwide. The price per bottle is 40 million KRW.

'Glen Grant 60 Years' is a limited edition commemorating the 60th anniversary of the whisky career of master distiller Dennis Malcolm, who was born on the site of the Glen Grant distillery in 1946 and has worked in the Scotch whisky industry for 60 years since the age of 15, making him the longest-serving master distiller in history. He was awarded the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by the British Royal Family in recognition of his contributions to Scotch whisky and the Speyside region.

The cask in which Glen Grant 60 Years was matured is an Oloroso sherry cask, filled on October 24, 1960, and matured for about 22,000 days (61.1 years). The original spirit was bottled as is through 'non-chill filtration' to enhance its aromatic flavor. Using the extensive experience and know-how of crystal experts from Glencairn, a 100% handcrafted decanter was produced, with each unique number engraved to add a special touch. The design, expressing the elegant and long shape of the Glen Grant distillery's iconic still, makes the product stand out even more. The premium case is made of sturdy walnut wood, with a metal plate engraved with the master distiller's signature in the center.

This product was also selected as the 'Best Scotch Whisky' by 'Jim Murray's Whisky Bible,' founded by whisky critic Jim Murray.
