[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation announced on the 6th that it received the Minister of Employment and Labor Commendation at the '2021 Job Creation Merit Awards' held last December.
Shinhan Financial was recognized for its contribution to supporting youth overseas employment through the Shinhan Global Young Challenger (Shinhan GYC) program, a representative social contribution project of the group’s Hope Society Project, and received this award.
Since 2019, Shinhan Financial has provided programs such as language and job competency enhancement training by country, expert lectures and practical training by local industry specialists, and global mindset education to 184 Shinhan GYC participants.
Additionally, in collaboration with KOTRA local trade offices, it actively supported employment by providing job information from Korean companies expanding overseas and local companies, contributing to the employment of a total of 133 participants in domestic and international companies.
A representative of Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation said, "Through Shinhan GYC, Shinhan Financial is presenting new directions for overseas employment to our youth dreaming of the global stage," and added, "We will continue to expand support for strengthening youth capabilities and employment linkage."
