ATE1 Signs Supply Contract for Metaverse Platform 'Moim' with National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] EightOne, a KOSDAQ-listed company, announced on the 6th that it will supply its metaverse platform 'Moim (MOIM)' to the National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea. 'Moim' is a metaverse platform independently developed by EightOne's subsidiary Grid and launched last year.

The company stated that since the launch of 'Moim' through Grid, this is the first supply contract targeting a public institution. Therefore, they plan to prioritize multifaceted ecosystem expansion focusing on the metaverse platform's characteristic of having no restrictions on applicable industries.

The National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea, to which EightOne is supplying the 'Moim' platform, is a marine biological resource specialized research, exhibition, and education institution under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, opened in April 2015 in Seocheon-gun (Janghang), Chungcheongnam-do.

Starting with this supply contract, EightOne plans to newly implement the exhibition and education programs independently operated by the National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea through the metaverse platform 'Moim'. The company intends to enhance educational and exhibition effects by meticulously reproducing various marine biological specimens of the institute in the metaverse space as visual teaching materials, showcasing the platform 'Moim's unique metaverse customization technology differentiation elements in this project.

Choi Cheol-soon, CEO of EightOne, said, "This supply contract of the 'Moim' platform to the National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea, which holds hundreds of thousands of DBs as the national marine and fisheries life resource responsible institution, will be a great opportunity to successfully meet the metaverse industry needs required not only in the private sector but also in the public sector." He added, "We plan to focus on continuously expanding the scope of various project applications so that the platform 'Moim' can take the lead in expanding the metaverse ecosystem."
