Hyundai Construction announced on the 4th that it will unveil a new elevator design called ‘FANTASTIC RIDE,’ developed over 18 months in collaboration with Hyundai Elevator.

The newly developed design is inspired by the sparkling stars in the night sky, with the concept of ‘Starlight.’ Moving LED lights were designed to create the sensation of stars pouring down inside, and the elevator ceiling height was raised by 10cm to maximize the sense of space. Large-sized black mirrors were added to the wall finishes, creating a design that offers a new experience where the starlight shining on the ceiling continues seamlessly.

Additionally, lighting was added to the lower part of the elevator and the handrail to emphasize luxury, and the interior input buttons of the elevator were upgraded with text buttons typically used in high-end hotel elevators, enhancing the design’s sophistication.

Besides the starlight concept, a ‘Nature’ concept expressing the feeling of a forest will also be introduced. The elevator interior and door designs reflect wood grain patterns, and warm lighting colors were added to evoke the comfortable atmosphere of a forest.

To prepare for COVID-19 infection prevention, frequently used basement and first-floor hall buttons are equipped with a ‘Motion Call Sensor Function’ that minimizes contact. The ‘Motion Call Sensor Function’ detects passengers’ hand movements up or down through a special motion recognition sensor to call the elevator.

This project is expected to be selectively applied starting with Hillstate, scheduled for sale in the second half of this year.
