[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] As Lee Jun-seok, the leader of the People Power Party, announced his intention to sue the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute" (Gaseyeon), which raised allegations of 'sexual bribery' against him, lawyer Kang Yong-seok expressed confidence, saying, "Sue them today."

Earlier, Gaseyeon raised sexual bribery allegations during a broadcast on the 27th, stating, "Leader Lee received sexual favors from Kim Sung-jin, CEO of i-Kist, at a hotel in Daejeon in 2013. This was confirmed through investigation materials from the Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office."

In response, Lee posted on Facebook, "If any issues regarding me were found during the investigation of the company called i-Kist, it would have been investigated at that time, but I have never been investigated nor received any contact related to this," warning, "If all the materials are not disclosed, I will take legal action."

The People Power Party's leader's office also stated on the 28th, "The claims made by Gaseyeon are not true," and added, "We will sue for defamation based on false information. The complaint will be submitted soon."

In response, lawyer Kang shared related articles that afternoon, saying, "Don't wait until later, sue them today. There's not much content needed to write the complaint."

He continued, "Clarify whether sexual bribery was received or not. Did you go to Daejeon? Did you go to a room salon? If you went but didn't do it, clarify that. Instead, you're just throwing around threats of lawsuits without clarifying these things," and criticized, "Don't you know that the lawsuit threats don't work on Gaseyeon?"

He added, "Put something you like on the line," and said, "Just the leader alone is weak, so go as far as retiring from politics. If the sexual bribery is true, the leader should naturally step down," and pressured, "You must sue for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act for spreading false information. Only then, if the truth is revealed, will you be charged with false accusation."

When a netizen commented, "You should also bet on blowing up the Gaseyeon channel + retiring from YouTube," lawyer Kang replied, "There's no need to bet on that. If it's false, they will be punished."
