"Winter, Shall We Try Strawberry Buffets?" Hotel Industry Unveils Strawberry Desserts One After Another JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, 'Falling in Love with Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set'.


[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] The hotel industry is presenting desserts themed around strawberries, a seasonal fruit, to welcome winter. There are various types such as strawberry dessert buffets, strawberry afternoon tea sets, and strawberry bingsu (shaved ice desserts).


JW Marriott Hotel Seoul's 'The Lounge' offers the 'Falling in Love with Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set.' It includes a total of nine desserts such as strawberry Mont Blanc wrapped in chantilly chocolate cream with fresh strawberries and almond cream, strawberry cheesecake, flamingo almond cake, strawberry macarons, and strawberry amaretti. For light savory options, there are two raspberry scones, kadaif rolls (thin pastry made with nuts) served with pistachio and cream cheese, berry French toast topped with various berries and bananas with cream cheese on a brioche bun, and strawberry cheese balls. Additionally, the 'Raining Sweetness Bingsu' is also available. The service runs from the 26th of this month until February 28th of next year.

Park Hyatt Seoul's 'The Lounge' has launched the 'White Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set.' It uses perennial snow strawberries, which have higher sweetness and a softer texture compared to regular strawberry varieties. Coffee or tea and a welcome cocktail are served together. It is available daily from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM until April 3rd of next year, with a two-hour usage time from the reservation time.


Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun Hotel & Residence presents the afternoon tea set 'Le Gout? Strawberry,' inspired by the hotel's exterior. It is available in Le Gout? Sweet and Delight options. Le Gout? Sweet consists of strawberry macarons, strawberry mille-feuille, strawberry cream custard, and special drinks made with strawberries. Delight includes the desserts and special drinks from Le Gout? Sweet plus a brunch platter with pancakes, grilled sausages, and omelets. The special drinks included in both menus are Bramble & Tonic and a non-alcoholic strawberry candy swizzle. The brunch platter and Mo?t & Chandon champagne are available as additional options. It operates at 'Gourmet Bar' from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and is available until March 31st of next year.

Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas Lobby Lounge & Bar offers the 'Strawberry Royal High Tea,' featuring strawberries as the main ingredient, until the end of March next year. You can enjoy various strawberry desserts such as strawberry & yuzu tart, green tea wild strawberry cake, and strawberry banana pudding, along with 11 types of tea foods including pollack roe avocado grill, bikini sandwich, scallops with cauliflower pur?e, and more. A bowl of fresh strawberries is also provided. To-go products are also available. They are sold until March 31st of next year, with service hours from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.


Lotte Hotel Seoul offers the strawberry afternoon tea set (dessert tray) promotion 'Must Be Strawberry' until May 6th of next year. It features 14 unique strawberry desserts created by pastry chef Na Seong-ju, a gold medalist at the IKA Culinary Olympics, including three types of welcome foods, strawberry crumble choux, and strawberry mousse, along with two cups of coffee or tea. A self-drawing kit composed of Portuguese jam brand 'Meia Duzia's' paint jam, chocolate spread, and a palette is also provided.

Courtyard Marriott Seoul Times Square Hotel's 'Momo Bar' presents the strawberry buffet 'Hansel and Gretel in Strawberry House' every weekend from January 8th to April 30th next year. Strawberry pavlova, strawberry fresh cream cake, strawberry panna cotta, gugelhupf, strawberry roll cake, strawberry jelly, strawberry macarons, strawberry choux, red velvet cake, strawberry mousse, brownies, and muffins are prepared. Three hot dishes that pair well with the desserts, including focaccia pizza, chicken wings, and tteokbokki, are also available. Sparkling wine, strawberry mango juice, strawberry lemonade, coffee, and tea are offered unlimited. It is available every Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM between January 8th and April 30th next year.


Andaz Seoul Gangnam's 'Jogakbo' restaurant offers the 'Jogakbo Strawberry Bingsu' set featuring seasonal strawberries until March next year. Jogakbo's bingsu is characterized by a portion sufficient for two people, composed of strawberry sorbet, chocolate rose and lychee sauce, and mochi rice cakes. The strawberry bingsu is topped with fresh strawberries and crumble on finely shaved milk ice, adding a refreshing taste and texture. Vanilla panna cotta, mascarpone cream, and condensed milk are added, dusted with powdered sugar, evoking strawberry cheesecake. The mascarpone cream and rose and lychee sauce provided can be enjoyed according to personal preference.
