Hyosung's Vietnam branch is the largest among the company's production bases worldwide. Despite challenges such as disruptions in domestic and international logistics systems due to COVID-19, Vice President Kim was recognized for closely monitoring local conditions and responding swiftly to crises, thereby stabilizing the operations of the Vietnam and Dong Nai branches. This facility produces Hyosung's main products, including spandex and tire cords.
The Vietnamese government implemented extraordinary lockdown measures this year, shutting down entire regions or industrial complexes in response to the spread of COVID-19. Global companies with factories in Vietnam faced an unprecedented crisis where they had to immediately halt operations if local factory workers did not reside and work on-site. Vice President Kim proactively established an on-site living and working system to ensure the factory could operate smoothly without interruption.
Meanwhile, Hyosung selected three partner companies?Cots Technology Co., Ltd., Korea Epo Co., Ltd., and Deokshin Construction Co., Ltd.?as recipients of the Proud Hyosung Person Special Award.
