[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Glad Hotel announced on the 23rd that it will open the seafood buffet restaurant 'Makinochaya Mapo Branch' at Glad Mapo.
'Makinochaya Mapo Branch' will open on the 9th floor of Glad Mapo. It features a 'Live Sushi Station' using fresh fish and seafood directly delivered from the source, and operates a 'Live Grill Station' showcasing whole roasted whole pig barbecue dishes as the main attraction. Makinochaya's signature menu item, 'Hwangge Soy Sauce Marinated Crab,' will also be offered. The hotel stated, "Special sushi menus exclusive to Makinochaya Mapo Branch, such as tuna belly, red shrimp, and flatfish, will be provided." They also operate a 'customer participation coin system' where each person is given two coins to enjoy 'New York Strip Steak' and seasonal fruit juices, adding more fun to the buffet experience.
Makinochaya Mapo Branch offers a city view through floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and a transparent bubble dome is installed on the outdoor terrace, allowing guests to enjoy their meals in an exotic atmosphere. Private rooms are also available for first birthday parties, small gatherings, and business meetings.
Operating hours in December are weekday lunch from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, weekday dinner from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, weekend and holiday lunch from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and dinner from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Operating hours may change depending on the COVID-19 social distancing level.
Additionally, to enjoy year-end home parties, 'Makinochaya Party Pack' and a Christmas season limited 'Christmas Party Pack' will be offered. The 'Makinochaya Party Pack' can be chosen from three sets. The 'Christmas Party Pack' includes lobster, assorted sashimi, steak, smoked salmon salad, chili shrimp, pork ribs, sparkling wine, and brownie cake.
Furthermore, a 10% discount is provided for Glad Mapo guests when using the dinner service. A to-go (TO-GO) pack that can be enjoyed in the room is also prepared.
