[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hyundai Motor Company will showcase its Robotics vision at 'CES 2022,' the world's largest electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, early next year.
On the 23rd, Hyundai released a teaser image for its participation in 'CES 2022,' previewing the future changes in the role and form of mobility that robotics technology will bring to human society through integration with the metaverse. Robotics refers to the field of technology dealing with robots, known as robotics engineering.
Hyundai's Robotics vision to be announced at CES will go beyond creating simple means of transportation and will embody the purpose and direction of the robotics business that will dramatically satisfy humanity's fundamental desire for mobility.
At CES, Hyundai will unveil for the first time the 'PnD (Plug & Drive) module,' a core robotics technology platform aimed at realizing the 'Mobility of Things (MoT)' ecosystem, where mobility is granted to all objects.
They plan to introduce various concrete examples of how robotics technology can serve as a medium connecting experiences in the metaverse and the real world.
From January 5 to 8 next year, during the exhibition period, Hyundai will showcase an expanded robot lineup at their booth, including the small mobility platform 'MobED,' the 'PnD module mobility,' and Boston Dynamics' 'Spot' and 'Atlas.'
Detailed information about Hyundai's new mobility vision utilizing 'Robotics' and 'Metaverse' and the main exhibits will be announced at the 'Hyundai Motor CES Media Day' held on January 4 (local time) at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
