Donation of 9 Million Won for Charity to Help Neighbors in Need and Save Business Expenses Again This Year Following Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Seocho District Council (Chairperson Kim Ansook) held a donation ceremony on the 20th in the reception room to help vulnerable groups and disadvantaged neighbors in the area.
The donation was prepared by saving the vice-chairperson's business promotion expenses. Following last year's donation of 6.62 million won, this year a total of 9 million won was donated, with 3 million won each to Yangjae 1·2-dong and Naegok-dong. The 8th Seocho District Council has been making donations for two consecutive years with the hope of becoming a beacon of hope for neighbors in need and establishing a warm culture of sharing in the local community. The donation will be deposited into the Seoul Metropolitan Branch account of the Community Chest of Korea and then delivered to low-income marginalized groups in the area.
Kim Ansook, Chairperson of the Seocho District Council, said, “There are many neighbors going through a colder winter during these difficult times due to COVID-19,” and added, “Although everyone is having a hard time, I hope this year-end and New Year season will be warm, allowing us to look around and share warmth with each other.”
