North Korea Evaluates 'Kim Jong Un's Party-Army Strengthening' as One of the Achievements in His 10 Years of Rule

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] North Korea cited the strengthening of the Party Army as one of the achievements during Kim Jong-un's 10 years as General Secretary of the Workers' Party.

The Workers' Party organ, Rodong Sinmun, reported on the 22nd in an editorial titled "The Juche Revolutionary Cause Will Forever March Forward Victorious," stating, "Within the glorious and proud title of the Party Army, there is another immortal achievement accomplished by the Workers' Party of Korea."

The newspaper said, "There may be many armies on earth, but where is there an army called the Party Army, and where have you seen an army that holds the Party flag as the supreme military banner?" adding, "It is a genuine Party Army that knows only one response to the Party's call: 'Understood.'"

It then mentioned Kim Jong-un's leadership in military meetings such as the Party Central Military Commission, his encouragement of the military last year by awarding key officials the Paektusan commemorative pistol, and the 2019 Paektusan military horse march, highlighting his efforts to strengthen the armed forces.

This emphasizes Kim Jong-un's Party Army politics, placing the Workers' Party at the top of governance and controlling the military.

Rodong Sinmun is continuing the idolization of Kim Jong-un by packaging his 10 years in power through a third series of editorials, following the first part "The Path of Victory with the General" on the 14th and the second part on the 20th.
