Daehan Green Power Passes Final Approval for 23MW Solar Power Plant Permit

Daehan Green Power "Construction Possible Within This Year"

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] The development permit for the 23MW-scale solar power project in Sanghasari, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do, developed by Daehan Green Energy and with the entire EPC carried out by Daehan Green Power, has passed the final hurdle after the written review by the Jeollanam-do Urban Development Committee Subcommittee.

Park Geunsik, CEO of Daehan Green Power, stated on the 22nd, "The 23MW-scale Sanghasari solar power project is reflecting the opinions of the review committee members and only simple administrative procedures with Yeonggwang-gun remain," adding, "Since we have already secured the solar modules and prepared for the transmission lines, construction can begin within a few days."

He continued, "The solar power project signifies an expansion in Daehan Green Power's operating profit surplus this year," and added, "Moreover, as Daehan Green Power transitions to renewable energy projects, this being the first project where we carry out the entire EPC process holds great significance in the overall business structure."

Furthermore, he emphasized, "By transferring the EPC know-how accumulated by Daehan Green Energy in renewable energy projects to Daehan Green Power, Daehan Green Power will enhance its EPC capabilities not only in solar power but also in wind power projects, and will form a consortium for upcoming offshore wind projects."

The 23MW-scale Sanghasari solar power facility will be constructed on a total site area of 256,330m2. It is expected to produce approximately 30,222 megawatt-hours (MWh) of electricity annually after completion. The total project cost is 34 billion KRW, and Daehan Green Power's EPC contract amount is approximately 27.5 billion KRW. The construction period is until March next year.
