[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The movie 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' has attracted a cumulative audience of 3 million within 7 days of its release.

According to the Korea Film Council's integrated box office data as of 7 a.m. on the 21st, 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' (directed by Jon Watts) recorded a cumulative audience of 3,078,172.

This is a noticeably faster pace compared to the 3 million audience milestones of pandemic-era hit films such as 'Deliver Us from Evil' in 11 days, 'Peninsula' in 14 days, 'Eternals' in 29 days, and 'Mogadishu' in 33 days.

Additionally, the film, which was released on the 17th (local time), earned $260 million over the weekend alone, ranking second in North America's all-time opening weekend box office scores, following 'Avengers: Endgame,' which recorded $357.11 million.

Moreover, outside of North America, it earned $334.2 million, achieving a global revenue of $594.2 million.

Released on the 15th, 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' is a Marvel action blockbuster that depicts the story of Spider-Man Peter Parker (Tom Holland), whose identity is exposed, seeking help from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to solve the problem. Unexpectedly, the multiverse opens, bringing adversaries from different dimensions such as Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), leading to the greatest crisis in history.
