Miryang City and National Folk Museum Join Forces to Preserve and Pass Down Miryang Regional Folklore

Miryang City signed a business agreement with the National Folk Museum.

Kim Jong-dae, director of the National Folk Museum of Korea, visited Miryang City and signed the agreement with Park Seong-jae, vice mayor of Miryang City.

Miryang City and the National Folk Museum of Korea will join forces to preserve, pass down, and conduct research on local folk traditions such as Miryang Arirang and Baekjungnori.

In particular, this agreement aims to further activate related fields such as folk culture, tourism, arts content, research, and education through the connection between the museum and folk sites, and to exchange and cooperate on matters related to the operation and establishment of local museums.

The two institutions, the National Folk Museum representing folk culture and Miryang City as an excellent local folk site, agreed to maintain a continuous cooperative relationship to revitalize local folk culture and promote regional cultural development.
