Go Chun-seok, Chairman of Samyoung Industry, Joins Jeonnam's 129th 'Honor Society'

Donation of 100 Million Won for Dolbom Neighbors Welfare Project Fund

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea (President Nodongil, Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on the 20th that Go Chunseok, chairman of Samyoung Industry Co., Ltd., has joined as the 129th member of the Jeonnam Honor Society. He is the 2nd member from Muan.

At the joining ceremony, Nodongil, president of Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae, Kim San, Muan County Governor, Go Chunseok, chairman of Samyoung Industry Co., Ltd., and related officials attended and presented a certificate and bouquet.

The donated 100 million won will be used as welfare project funds for care neighbors supporting disabled people, elderly, and low-income households struggling to make a living in Jeonnam.

Chairman Go established the Seongam Cultural Foundation in 2010 and has been steadily practicing sharing by providing scholarships for outstanding local talents for 11 years.

He said, “I am glad to participate in meaningful sharing for my hometown, Muan County,” and added, “Since these are difficult times, I hope we can join forces and overcome them together.”

Nodongil, president of Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae, said, “Thank you for willingly joining the warm sharing during the Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure that the precious donation is delivered as hope to neighbors in need.”

Meanwhile, the Honor Society is a ‘personal high-donation club’ that one can join by donating 100 million won or more, or by pledging to donate 100 million won within five years. For membership consultation, inquiries can be made through the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea.
