[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Hong Joon-pyo, a member of the People Power Party, lamented the organizational structure and internal operations of the presidential election campaign committee. Hong said, "Only the candidate is getting more and more anxious every day."
On the 20th, Hong stated on social media (SNS), "From the outside, our party's campaign committee is divided into three factions," pointing out, "The Kim Jong-in general chairman group, the Kim Han-gil New Era committee group, and the so-called Parisite group."
He continued, "With the campaign committee divided like this and each faction acting according to their own interests, there is no way it can be unified or have the ability to respond to current issues, so only the candidate is getting more and more anxious every day," he criticized.
He added, "The Democratic Party has dismantled its dinosaur campaign committee and switched to a slim campaign committee, moving nimbly centered on the candidate, but this campaign committee, which constantly fights over positions and openly ignores the party leader’s words to his face, what help can it possibly be for this presidential election?" he questioned.
Earlier that day, it was reported that a verbal dispute occurred between Lee Jun-seok, the leader of the People Power Party, and Cho Soo-jin, the head of the campaign committee’s public relations team. Lee explained, "There was someone opposing instructions regarding campaign committee tasks, so I spoke to improve and correct the campaign committee’s operational system," adding, "I gave instructions on the tasks assigned to that person, but because they publicly stated that they did not need to listen to the standing campaign committee chairman, voices were raised."
