U+ Altteul Phone, New Year Self-Activation Promotion Underway

Prize Giveaway for U+ Altteul Phone Self-Activation Customers Until February 7 Next Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] LG Uplus announced on the 20th that it will hold a New Year promotion from the 21st of this month to February 7th of next year, offering abundant prizes to U+ Altteul Phone self-activation customers as part of its win-win cooperation with small and medium-sized Altteul Phone operators.

To celebrate the Year of the Tiger in 2022, LG Uplus will present all customers who use self-activation when subscribing to telecommunication services from small and medium Altteul Phone operators using its network with a set of three items: Mujik Tiger mouse pad, key ring, and gel pen.

Self-activation is a service that allows customers to purchase a USIM separately at convenience stores or large marts and then easily activate it online by themselves immediately. Currently, this service is provided by 10 companies including Merchend, Sejong Telecom, Smatel, Eyes Vision, Antelcom, Enex, Unicoms, InscoBee, Keun Saram, and ACN Korea.

LG Uplus explained that the promotion was planned not only to enhance customer convenience through the expansion of the self-activation service but also to help small and medium operators reduce costs such as labor and logistics expenses. According to LG Uplus’s survey on U+ Altteul Phone customers, the proportion of self-activation among customers subscribed to large Altteul Phone operators was about 50%, whereas it was only 32.9% for small and medium operators.
