On the 20th, Galleria Department Store will deliver Christmas gifts to 250 children suffering from severe rare and intractable diseases.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Galleria Department Store announced on the 20th that it will deliver Christmas gifts to 250 children suffering from severe rare incurable diseases.
This activity is part of the Christmas social contribution campaign carried out in collaboration with Make-A-Wish Korea and has been ongoing for 10 years. Every year, it provides Christmas gifts and special memories to children hospitalized or undergoing treatment at major hospitals nationwide, with a total of 2,923 children benefiting to date.
This year, a total of 250 children from the Seoul National University Children's Hospital Kkumteulkkotssi (Pediatric Palliative Care Team), Suwon Ajou University Children's Ward, and Daejeon Chungnam National University Children's Ward will receive gifts from Santa Claus delivered by Galleria. Employees also personally wrapped Christmas presents for the children through the employee sharing activity 'Love Aid.'
Meanwhile, Galleria is also focusing on activities to advance pet welfare. As part of the 'Paran Project,' a pet protection campaign launched in 2018, this year Galleria selected and supported 44 individual activists, 9 small shelters, and 10 animal protection organizations as 'Galleria Friends.' Through this support, a total of about 80 abandoned dogs and cats have started new lives.
A Galleria representative said, "We will continue sincere social contribution activities that cherish and protect all life and the environment," adding, "We will continuously strive to fulfill our responsibilities as a conscientious department store."
