On the 14th, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education signed a business agreement with the UNICEF Korea Committee and decided to implement educational projects requiring proactive responses to enhance children's rights in the post-COVID-19 era by becoming a UNICEF Child-Friendly Education Office starting next year.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education will promote ▲ operation of UNICEF Child-Friendly Schools ▲ implementation of projects on emotional sensitivity, mental health, and literacy education ▲ joint campaigns to respond to the climate crisis to protect the rights to life and environment of future generations.
The UNICEF Child-Friendly Education Office, as the world's first model, means spreading the values of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) such as equality, respect, non-discrimination, and participation more widely in school education settings, and operating child-friendly educational projects for the happy lives and dreams of children.
